Chief Executive and Co-Founder

After beginning my career at IBM, I went on to specialise in mergers and acquisitions, working with EY and investment boutique Convex Capital on a range of transactions involving entrepreneurial, owner-managed businesses whilst also qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. Off the back of my experience working with today’s generation of wealth creators, I moved back to South Wales to formally launch Delio in 2015.

 
David Newman

David Newman
Chief Commercial Officer and Co-Founder

Prior to Delio,  I was a wealth manager, advising High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth individuals and family offices. I worked in a range of roles in London and Manchester for Barclays Wealth before moving to UBS to help them build their client base in the North West, focusing on entrepreneurs and sophisticated advisory clients. I am also a CFA Charterholder.

Before joining Delio, I was formerly Global Chief Risk Officer of HSBC’s Private Wealth Solutions business and the Chief Risk Officer of HSBC Private Bank in Asia Pacific. During my 20 year career in the financial services industry I have also held positions at KPMG, Admiral Group and Nemo Personal Finance, a subsidiary of the Principality Building Society.

 
Andy Samuel

Chief Technology Officer

Previous to joining Delio, I had spent over 20 years working in the technology sector in global bluechip institutions. This has included executive positions at Virgin Money, Iron Mountain, Target Group and Alcumus Group.  I also hold a Masters Degree in Computer Science and an MBA from the University of Warwick.

 
Jon Watts

Jon Watts
Head of Delivery and Infrastructure

Prior to joining Delio,  I held a number of challenging and exciting roles at companies such as Creditsafe, SunGard (now F.I.S), HypoVereinsbank, Chemical Bank and Chase Manhattan Bank (now J.P. Morgan Chase). These roles covered all aspects of product management, project delivery, customer experience and client engagement. I am a qualified PRINCE2® and AgilePM® practitioner and Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO).

 
Paul Lacey

Product Manager

After a career in the Royal Marines I studied mathematics at university with the ambition of being part of the finance industry. In 2013 I joined the Global Markets Risk team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London before becoming Product Manager at Delio in 2017. I am a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO).

 
David Newton

David Newton
Head of APAC

Before joining Delio, David worked for 16 years in investment banking advising the hedge fund community. During his time with ABN Amro, UBS and Barclays Capital he specialised in Corporate Special Situations and Event Driven trading strategies. In 2014 he co-founded Telemark Capital alongside his former investment banking colleagues so as to originate, structure, distribute and manage a broad array of alternative investment opportunities.

Stephane Brown

Stephane has over 25 years of Financial Services industry experience. He worked in Strategy Consulting (Booz Allen & Hamilton), Sales & Trading, Wealth and Asset Management (JP Morgan, Lehman Brothers and Morgan Stanley), Private Equity, and several start-ups.
He spent over 10 years with Morgan Stanley in management positions ranging from COO for Fixed Income Europe to COO for MENA, and Emerging Markets, where he helped build Morgan Stanley Saudi Arabia. As EMEA Head of Legal Entity Risk Management he was a member of core EMEA Risk committees such as Franchise and Operational Risk, overseeing the roll out of Conduct Risk.

 
Alex Eventon

Alex Eventon

Alex is Chief Investment Officer of Rivkin Asset Management, an Australian Wealth Management company with offices in Sydney and London. Alex has headed teams and held senior portfolio management positions at FFTW, BNP Paribas, Lombard Odier and Oddo Asset Management in the UK, France and Switzerland. Prior to Rivkin he was Head of Fixed Income at a London based Private Wealth Manager.

 
Vikash Gupta

Vikash Gupta

Vikash is the Chief Executive Officer of VAR Capital, a leading international Multi-Family Office that evolved out of the Single-Family Office of the Ahluwalia family. He joined VAR Capital from Barclays, where he was part of the Key Clients and Family Offices team within the UK Private Bank and was also a member of the Investment Committee of the UK Private Bank.
Before joining Barclays, Vikash was at Booz & Company, providing corporate and M&A advisory services to some of the world’s leading financial institutions. Vikash is a board member of Spirit of 2012, a not-for-profit organisation set up to keep the spirit of the London 2012 Olympic Games alive.
